Ashton Park

The 404ha site in Ashton Park in south west Bristol will be developed over a 15 year period to provide a mix of over 10,500 residential units, four new schools, retail and leisure facilities including a new sports stadium, and associated recreational and community centre.

Involved from the early development stages of the site, clarkebond is responsible for the preliminary site works; ground engineering including geotechnical design and contamination assessments; flood and water management including surface water management plans, a sustainable drainage strategy & rainwater harvesting.

As part of the works an earthworks management plan has been prepared and an infrastructure report developed detailing site constraints, transportation issues and proposed designs.

Part of the proposal includes a waste-to-energy plant which will power CHP energy centres in turn delivering heat to the whole Ashton Park development.  Electricity generated through the gasification process will be sold back to the national grid, generating an income stream from the site.
