Bradley Stoke Community School

Bradley Stoke Community School

This new £12m secondary school is constructed on a part greenfield and part filled ground site with up to five metres of fill derived from construction sites and 1 in 3 slopes, creating plateaus for the football pitches, building and car parks.

As the first secondary school to be built in Bristol for over 27 years its vision was to establish strong links with the community opening its facilities to the adult education programmes and sports clubs.

As a result the accommodation comprises classrooms, technology laboratories, an ICT, school hall and an acoustically designed professional music and performing arts theatre.

Services: structural engineering, civil engineering.
