Reebok Stadium
The award winning development of the new football stadium for Bolton Wanderers accommodates 25,000 spectators, Reebok's headquarters, an exhibition hall, extensive conference and entertainment facilities and a four star hotel as an extension to the south stand.
As lead engineering consultant Deakin Walton, now part of Clarke Bond, was involved from early feasibility through to final design and construction and maintains an ongoing consultancy role advising on loading implications of staged events and concerts and carries out an annual inspection.
On plan the building is a simple bowl design oversailed by curved roof structures hung from a swooping canted truss supported by four leaning, tapered towers holding the pitch floodlighting.
